Worth repeating: ZZ Ward - “Blue Eyes Blind”

This was my wife’s favorite song on Ozmosis this week. I ain’t mad at her for that. I’ve been watching ZZ Ward for a while and this is my favorite song of hers, I think. If you like Adele, but she was more edgy, listen to this.

Worth repeating: Matt & Kim - “It’s Alright”

I love Matt & Kim. With apologies to the “We Are Young” dudes, THIS is what FUN sounds like. It’s my favorite track of M & K’s new album, “Lightning.” This, like many other great jams in the Matt & Kim catalog, will certainly get you jumpin.

Worth repeating: Capital Cities - “Safe & Sound”

Kinda in love with this song right now. Hope you dig it too. And keep an eye on Capital Cities. I feel like they’re a band that has more dope stuff to offer us.

Worth repeating: Earlimart - “97 Heart Attack”

This track hit the Internet last week, something new from kinda Fresno band Earlimart (not the city, which by the way, is also the home of a great taco truck). Aaron Espinoza, a Fresno boy, leads the band and “97 Heart Attack” is its first new single in four years. I loved it immediately. Hope you do too.

Worth repeating: White Arrows - “I Can Go”

I’m cheating and doing two Worth Repeating posts because, well, I can. Also: I’ve got a couple songs from this week’s show stuck in my head.

Here’s the catchy and summer anthem-y “I Can Go” by White Arrows. If you like Vampire Weekend, you’ll likely enjoy this.

Worth repeating: Fang Island - “Seek It Out”

This new cut from Fang Island is infectious. It’s a little more guitar-ripping than some of the stuff we play on Ozmosis, but really, it’s catchiness is undeniable. Off the band’s new album, “Major.”

Worth repeating: A B & the Sea - “California Feeling”

This one HAD to be on the summer playlist ep of Ozmosis. It’s SF band A B & the Sea, and the summery of this song can not be denied. By anyone. Go ahead. Try. I dare you.

Of course, I’m in California, so I’m totally biased when it comes to loving a song like this.

Worth repeating: Flagship - “Still I Wait”

Really digging this song by Flagship. A while back Ryan from the Visalia Fox Theatre hit me up about them, saying they’d be my new favorite band. I’m not ready to go that far yet, but once I got my hands on this, I was impressed. Good job, Flagship. And thanks, Ryan.

Worth repeating: Jaill - “Everyone’s a Bitch”

Preach it, Jaill! Everyone is a bitch! Well, maybe not YOU. But everyone else. All that aside, I love this song. I totally go around singing it at inappropriate times. It’s off Jaill’s new album, “Traps,” which you’ll like if you like this.

Worth repeating: Beck ft. Jack White - “I Just Started Hating Some People Today”

I kinda love this new Beck 7” out on Jack White’s Third Man Records. It’s called “I Just Started Hating Some People Today,” which is certainly provocative. It’s also a collabo with White, which is interesting. Then you listen to it. It’s kinda country, ends kinda hardcore and has some funny lyrics. Well played, Beck.

Worth repeating: Brick + Mortar - “Bangs”

On first listen, I knew this new single from NJ duo Brick + Mortar would make it onto Ozmosis. In fact, I opened the show with it last week. Usually, whatever opens the show is one of my favorite songs of the week. In the case of “Bangs,” it gets stuck in my head every time I hear it. Especially that hook. It sounds like it should be in a car commercial.

If you dig it, you can get a free download over at Earmilk.

Worth repeating: The Mowgli’s - “San Francisco”

I’m totally in love with this song from the last show — and I’m psyched The Mowgli’s are coming to Fresno’s Fulton 55 on June 20. “San Francisco” definitely earns the band a spot on my summer playlist.

Worth repeating: Big Scary

Aussie band Big Scary has already made a name for itself down under, but it looks like the duo is the next band from the land of Crocodile Dundee to get a push here in the U.S. (see: Gotye). I played this song on last night’s show. I dig it and you might too.

It’s a free download, btw.

Worth repeating: Jake Bugg

Got some good reason about this song that was on last week’s edition of Ozmosis. Jake Bugg is a 17-year-old singer/songwriter from the UK. Nice talent here.

Do you dig?

Worth repeating: The Neighbourhood

I played this on Ozmosis the other night, but I’m straight up obsessed with this song. So I figured I’d hit you guys with the visuals. It’s “Sweater Weather” by The Neighbourhood. I hear big things here. Like Foster the People/Goyte type of big things.
