Look: Cayucas - “Cayucos”

We Fresnans know the city of Cayucas, near San Luis Obispo, a favorite destination in our coastal retreats. Well this week I introduced you to the band Cayucas, who debuted with the fun song (and video) “Cayucos.” If you dig this summery, laid-back vibe, you can see Cayucas at The Cellar Door on Nov. 24.

Look: Watch the Duck - “Poppin’ Off”

So this ain’t exactly indie rock, but it’s still fresh and on Ozmosis we do what we want. Here are the visuals for Watch the Duck’s “Poppin’ Off.” Get down with it.

Look: Alt-J - “Breezeblocks”

I’m all kinds of smitten with British indie oddballs Alt-J (or ∆). Their album is fresh and this song is so damn catchy. Here’s the vid, which is also cool.

Look: Strange Vine - “Ghosts”

Last week’s “Drink Local, Listen Local” band of the week Strange Vine doesn’t have a REAL music video, but this is a pretty sweet vid from our friends at Dead in 60 Years. It’s part live performance with a little bit of interview mixed in. Above all, it’s a good taste of Strange Vine.

Look: Maren Parusel: “Tightrope Walker”

Not only is this a cool song from San Diego band Maren Parusel, but the video was filmed right here in Fresno by the Dead in 60 Years crew. You can see Rotary Storyland and Woodward Park in there. Dopeness.

Look: Milo Greene - “1957”

Definitely listening to this song from Milo Greene a lot lately. Was happy to learn they’re headed our way too — 8/23 in Visalia with local faves Fierce Creatures.

Look: Communist Daughter - “Speed of Sound”

Straight up, I adore this song.

Thank you, Communist Daughter.

Look: Little Dragon - “Sunshine”

By now, you’ve probably heard about Little Dragon’s new “sponsored” single by Absolut. We can save the debate about whether this is a good move and all just agree the song is good. Here’s the video.

Look: Haim - “Forever”

Loooooove this song by Haim — yes, like Corey. Some of you will like it just for that. Shouts to “License to Drive.”

Anyhow, Haim’s “Forever” EP is out now. Check it out. Good stuff.

Look: Passion Pit - “Take a Walk”

Played the new Passion Pit single on the show a few weeks ago, but the video is out now and I thought I’d share, because I still very much enjoy this song. The band’s new album out is July 24. I’m definitely looking forward to it.

Look: Caged Animals - “This Summer I’ll Make It Up To You”

Here are the visuals for Caged Animals summer-y song that you hear on the show last week. The song makes me think of a beachy version of The Smith Westerns. And, in my mind, the villains in the video are members of the Cobra Kai. And nobody is going to tell me otherwise! No Mercy!

Look: Father John Misty’s “Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings”

I’ve been meaning to post this video for, well, a couple months now. Sorry for the tardy. Father John Misty — aka Joshua Tillman, ex of Fleet Foxes — put out some really interesting stuff with “Fear Fun.” This is the lead single. I played it a while back (and have since played the second single, “I’m Writing a Novel.”

Anybody who is a fan of “Parks and Rec” is gonna love this video.
